...and it was pretty cute and funny. I wouldn't rank it among my favourites in gay themed movies but it wasn't bad at all. Fun way to waste an hour and a half.

Also the actor playing Gabriel was ADORABLE. I love boys with dimples.

I didn't like Mark though. He reminded me far too much of this friend I used to have a crush on which just made me feel awkward.

This part totally cracked me up.

"No what?"

"No...sir."

Totally hilarious.

BEST EPISODE EVER.

Cross dressing jokes. 'Are you calling me fat' jokes. Merlin fixes Arthur's bath jokes. All in one episode. Followed by rough housing, wet boys, angst and more silliness.

While the plot was as predictable and silly as ever, this time it was pulled off BRILLIANTLY. I almost had tears in my eyes at one point. Lovely acting and beautifully shot.

God, Colin Morgan cries beautifully. Jared Padalecki, take note.

And the next episode's preview looked totally silly and awesome as well!!! *bounces with joy*

This would have been one of the best SPN episodes EVEEEEEEEEEER.

If only Jared Padalecki could act properly and stop, for the love of CHRIST, making that scrunchy face.

I'm watching videos of David Archuleta on youtube and getting worked up BECAUSE HE'S TOTALLY BETTER THAN DAVID COOK. WAY, WAY BETTER.

And well, I never even watched that season. I haven't watched American Idol since the Bo Bice season. I'm just watching this kid sing and getting pissed off. I think I'm even more pissed off than I was when Adam Lambert lost this year. And I didn't watch this years season either, I just saw Lambert sing Mad World and thought he was a good performer.

Ugh. I hate this stupid show. What the fuck America. Are they rigging the finales or what? David Cook is just okay, there's nothing that great about him. Archuleta has this gorgeous voice. And Kris Allen is just a pretty face. His version of Falling Slowly makes me cringe.

I AM FULL OF RAGE.

Here, watch Archuleta sing. He is amazing.

I need to block youtube on my laptop. This is pathetic. I am an entire season late in my rage and five or six months late in my Lambert rage. I'm supposed to be reading The Treaty of Lisbon.

Help. ):

But I've never had much of a self preservation instinct.

Give me a pairing and a one word prompt and I will write you a sentence of porn.

Or well, I'll try. I'LL TRY VERY HARD.

And that chapter on Jurisdiction in Public International Law will read itself in the meantime.

Fuck it, I'm going to read David Cook/David Archuleta fanfiction, despite the fact that I never watched that season or that my brain is screaming OMG, THAT'S STATUTORY RAPE, HE'S 17 because [info]astolat writes that well. I'm actually reading the porn parts with one eye shut. Christ.

Hurry up and throw me prompts before I work up a massive guilt complex here.

I am talking about Dorian Blues. That was an excellent coming out movie, better than Edge of Seventeen for me personally. It was hysterically funny and sweet and heart breaking all at once. I think this might be No.#4 on my personal list of best gay movies, after Shelter and Get Real and Brokeback Mountain.

The last of which I watched again yesterday and almost started to cry because it hit me yet again, Heath Ledger is gone. Jesus Christ. He was so talented. And so young. *lip wibble*

My face was :D through out the episode.

There should have been more women though.

I LOVE THIS SEASON. The self mockery and not taking it all so seriously is so, so great. I'm actually enjoying myself.

You know your life is fucked up when your parents are shouting at each other and throwing the word divorce around like bunties (our poor version of M&Ms) and you end up telling them that they clearly don't know the meaning of that word and that they honestly don't know what a marriage is nor do they deserve to be in one.

I know it's not my job to hold their marriage together with both my hands and every time they start acting like children I promise myself this is the last time I'll try to fix it.

When will I realise there are some things that I just can't fix and just let go? Why is it SO HARD for me to give up? I'm completely emotionally spent.

I can't fix everything. Why can't I accept that? Once I do, I know I'll be happier. Why can't I do it?

Only I am capable of being reduced to a blubbering mess by a movie based on a book I've already read.

I am referring to Maurice by E.M Forster, which by the way should be read by every slasher. Or well, anyone who enjoys reading because honestly, it is a superb novel. One of the few books to ever truly break my heart.

The movie was extremely well made. It remained true to the essence of the book, except for a small detail that annoyed me, namely Under cut - spoiler for the book and movie in case you haven't read it/seen the movie. )

Besides that I really loved the movie. I don't think there were any real deviations from the book. Here's a review from an IMDB reviewer who I think put it best:

I think ‘Maurice' is far more romantic, and sexy, than most heterosexual love stories I have seen. The love and longing of these men seems so real and pure, especially by the fact that they are consistently being told that their inclination is `unspeakable', and their futures and careers are at stake.

The acting was truly superb and the reviewer is right, the attraction was truly more romantic and sexy and seemed more real than pretty much anything I've seen in heterosexual love stories. Just my luck to finally find a movie in which I don't hate Hugh Grant, only I'm automatically pre-disposed to hate his character. Fucking Clive.

I was chewing my lip throughout from stress. Despite knowing what's going to happen. :P I need to relax more when watching movies.

Anyway, f-list, WATCH THIS. Seriously. Beautiful movie.

But I do actually have about 60 or more pages of Public International Law reading to do and instead I'm reading Arthur/Merlin fic. D:

I just get to the part about how the first treaties ever were between......zzzzzzzzzzz.

*kicks self* GET IN GEAR WOMAN.

Unrelated, I love Chuck Bass. "18 years and you don't get Waldorf subtext yet?" ILU CHUCK BASS. Whenever I think I'm going to stop watching he says something ridiculously fantastic and I find myself swooning. Possibly I need a life.

*gets distracted by shiny AU Merlin fic*

Of all the lines Jensen thought he'd say on SPN, I'm sure "We're in Dr.Sexy MD" wasn't even one of them.

See, I really can't take this show seriously. I'm not saying it's as silly as Merlin, but it is often on par with some of the sillier Torchwood episodes. )

PLEASE ALWAYS BE AWESOME AND TWIST MERLIN'S ARM AND PRESS UP AGAINST HIS BODY IN  A  SEXUAL CONTROLLING MANNER.

I can't WAIT for all the angry sex that shall crop up because of next week's preview! ANGRY ARTHUR. SO MUCH HOTNESS.

Me, shallow? You have the wrong person.

So, someone on my lj posted about [info]mistletw , which is a Torchwood holiday fic exchange and I am literally about to start flipping coins about whether to join or not.

A) I'm terrified I'll get Jack/Gwen as a pairing, and yes, while I get annoyed at that pairing, I can probably handle writing it, only it won't be fluffy at all, instead it'll be terrible, unrequited fic from Gwen's perspective involving dreams about Jack and Rhys never realising what's happening so it'll be more Gwen/Rhys and the person I'm writing for will probably spam me with curses. And then I'll get pissed off because well if someone writes you something, shut up and read it and thank them for it. If someone wrote what I asked for in a totally different way from what I expected I wouldn't act like a troll but people are assholes. (I'm in a mankind loving mood in case you couldn't tell). B) Even if I get a pairing I do love, like Ianto/Owen, or Jack/Ianto or even, ooh, Tosh/Ianto (<3) it'd still be sad BECAUSE I CAN'T WRITE HAPPY FIC. And this is a holiday themed fest. C) I have about 60 pages of Public International Law to get through and my classes just started. I'll be in hell by December. Which is when I'll have to write it. I'm too lazy to do it now.

*sighs*

On top of everything else I have fever which is always bad because I have the weirdest...convulsions when I have fever beyond 101. And meds don't work on me because I had homeopathic medicine as a kid for migraines which fixed the migraines, but I think they had steroids because ordinary meds don't work on me at all. The first time I took valium I stayed awake for four hours before I finally succumbed to sleep.

I didn't know the trailers for the new Sherlock Holmes movie were out!!!!! Why has no one on my f-list posted about this??? PEOPLE, IT'S ROBERT DOWNEY JR.

Well, in case you all haven't seen it, here you go.

I think they've kind of blown the usual imagery of Sherlock Holmes out of the water but I can't get worked up about it BECAUSE IT'S ROBERT DOWNEY JR. And Guy Ritchie!!!!!

Ahem. Anyway, I watched The Young Victoria today which was pretty but not that fantastic and then I watched Kinsey, which was fascinating but the end was fairly....flat. But a pretty good movie.

And I watched the last scenes of the finale of s1 of QaF again because apparently Brian and Justin dancing makes me happy.

Now I shall go delve in Maurice. Can't be as good as the book I'm sure, especially since I kind of hate Hugh Grant, but well, it's Maurice.

D:

This feels unfinished but I'm totally stuck and can't seem to write more. So I'm posting it as it is before I change my mind and delete it as I've tended to do rather often in the past few months.

Pairings(s): Ianto/Jack, Ianto/Lisa, references to unrequited Tosh/Owen.

Rating: PG-13 (swearing)

Categories: One shot. Might write a sequel or companion piece.

Spoilers: Post CoE so spoilers for all the seasons.

Disclaimer: I do not own Torchwood.

Merlin sneaking into Arthur's bedroom in the middle of the night while Arthur sleeps half naked is officially canon.
